The prolific striker could well reinforce Argentina's most popular club for the Clausura championship.
Godoy Cruz scoring-machine Ruben Ramirez admitted that he would be delighted with a future transfer to Boca Juniors. The striker has recently attracted the attention of several clubs, including the Argentine Apertura champions.

Ramirez, who finished as the leading scorer of the Apertura with twelve goals, wants to return to a 'big' Argentine club after a disappointing stint with Racing Club in 2009.

"After my time with Racing I want to have my revenge at a big club and if I had the choice I'd like to be coached by [Julio] Falcioni," confessed Ramirez, in reference to the title-winning Boca coach.

He also asked his club, Godoy Cruz, to understand his situation and to no get into his way if he were to receive an offer from a club such as Boca. "If I have to go I hope that there are no problems. I think I have treated the club board well and I've always done things well and I've demonstrated this."

Miguel Pires, the agent of Ramirez, admitted that the player has only received a formal offer from Independiente up until now, another of Buenos Aires' more illustrious clubs.

In recent weeks Boca have had their eye on Monterrey striker Humberto Suazo, but despite having had two offers for the Chilean international rejected by the Mexican club, they have yet to give up on the player.

If Boca fail in their attempts to capture Suazo, the possibility of Ramirez joining the Buenos Aires giants will increase significantly.

Boca Juniors intend to build an even stronger side than last years to mark their return to the Copa Libertadores, South America's biggest club competition, in style.
