The Eagle Owls showed their class once again, this time sending their well wishes to the Danish playmaker.

Just like the Danish, players of the Finland national team were at hand to witness Christian Eriksen collapse on the pitch during their Euro 2020 clash. It was a traumatic moment for everyone involved and despite gearing up for an important showdown with Russia, instead of trying to forget that incident in order to focus on the game, the Eagle Owls decided to send a touching tribute to the midfielder.

Teemu Pukki and Co. traveled to the Krestovsky Stadium to lock horns with Russia knowing that victory could seal their spot in the round of 16. Markku Kanerva's side picked up all three points over Denmark, beating their rivals 1-0 after the game resumed, but were quickly usurped at the top by Belgium later that same day.

The Red Devils took on Russia in their opening fixture, winning 3-0 to move level on points – but ahead on goal difference – with Finland. With Lukaku and Co. tipped to beat Denmark later today, victory on Matchday 2 would have left the Eagles Owls with six points, all but confirming progression to the knockout stage.

Despite this, the Finnish players chose not to brush Eriksen's nearly-tragic moment under the rug. Instead, the players wore shirts with the message "Get well Christian" to send their well wishes ahead of kick-off. Check it out in the tweet below.

Fortunately, the Inter Milan playmaker is out of the woods and is now recovering at hospital. The midfielder posted on Instagram not too long ago to thank everyone for their well wishes while promising to support his nation and to fight back to return to the pitch.
