The U.S. women’s national team and Nigeria will be the first two teams to play in Austin FC’s new home ground, Q2 Stadium, in the final game of the 2021 Summer Series on Wednesday, June 14.

The USA will look to improve its 41-game unbeaten streak, third-longest in program history, against the reigning champions of Africa, Nigeria, on Wednesday night. You can watch the Summer Series closing game live on ESPN 2, with coverage starting at 9 p.m. ET and kickoff slated for 9:08 p.m. ET.

The USWNT has come out on top in their previous five meetings against the Super Falcons. In fact, the two have never met in an exhibition game before. Of the last five meetings, four came in the World Cup and one in the Olympics. Moreover, the USA and Nigeria met in three consecutive World Cups – 1999, 2003, 2007 – and again in 2015.

Out of the four teams participating in the Summer Series – Jamaica, Nigeria, Portugal, USA – the U.S. is the only one that will participate in the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan. The Stars-and-Stripes defeated Portugal 1-0 and Jamaica 4-0 in their first two games of the tournament.

After their game against Nigeria, the USWNT will return to action to face Mexico twice in the 2021 WNT Send-off Series.
