The game was close to halftime when the Inter Milan star dropped to the ground for reasons yet unknown.

The second game of the UEFA Euro 2020 was suspended right before the halftime break due to a medical emergency involving Christian Eriksen, who collapsed on the pitch after a throw in.

The talented midfielder was on his way down when the ball aimed at him bounced back to captain Simon Kjaer. Once the referee and Finnish players realized the gravity of the situation, they asked for the immediate intervention of the medical staff on the pitch.

Danish players created a wall surrounding Eriksen to prevent any images from being leaked after the incident, which included CPR being performed on the footballer. Minutes after the initial attempts to reanimate Eriksen, UEFA decided to call off the game.

After a few minutes of uncertainty, Eriksen left the pitch surrounded by his teammates and his wife, who was allowed to enter the pitch to check on her husband. Around 30 minutes after the game was suspended, UEFA revealed that the player has been taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

It is yet to be determined what will happen with the game. Be that as it may, we want to send Christian Eriksen our best from all the staff at Live Soccer TV, hoping he has a swift recovery.
