The Blaugrana side are still looking for reinforcements after a disappointing season that ended with them only winning the Copa del Rey title.

The Summer Transfer Window is in full motion even if the Copa América and the UEFA Euro are right around the corner. Hence, teams from all around the globe are still looking to boost their squads with the best talent available.

That is Barcelona's case, and after a dismal season, the Blaugrana side are looking to add players to their roster in order to boost their chances of success and to build an attractive project. With that in mind, Los Culés have set their sights on a Juventus footballer to add depth to their defense following the arrival of Eric García and the uncertainty of what the future could hold in store for Gerard Piqué, Clement Lenglet, and Samuel Umtiti.

The man targeted by Barcelona's hierarchy is none other than Merih Demiral. The Turkish defender, who is set to play the UEFA Euro with his National Team, has shown his progress in Serie A games with Sassuolo and in his last two seasons with Juventus, where he has played 32 games and has scored one goal. Now, he has been named as one of Barcelona's transfer targets ahead of next season.

According to Transfermarkt, the footballer's value of $34M would make him a feasible target for a big European team. Nevertheless, Los Culés' financial problems would force them to work out a deal to land Demiral's signing for a lower price.

The footballer is expected to wait until the end of Turkey's involvement in the UEFA Euro to make a decision regarding his future, but the chances of joining Barcelona could be tempting enough to speed up on any possible transfer plans.
