The Blues have identified the Norwegian forward as "the missing piece" after their successful UEFA Champions League campaign.

Chelsea were crowned the kings of Europe a while back, beating Man City 1-0 in last month's thrilling UEFA Champions League final to clinch their second title in the competition's history. However, despite this, the Blues' biggest shortcoming was made all the more clearer in that showdown in Porto.

Another disappointing showing from Timo Werner showcased Thomas Tuchel's need for a clinical forward, with the London giants set to address this issue in this summer transfer window. A number of strikers have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with the latest name being the most exciting.

That man is none other than Erling Haaland, the Dortmund sensation regarded by many as the hottest and biggest goalscoring prospect in world football. The Norwegian is one of three names on their wish list, the other two being Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku.

Tottenham are unlikely to sell to a direct rival while Inter Milan's Belgian forward stated his desire to remain with the Nerazzurri. This leaves only Haaland, which is not a bad option given that he scored 41 times in 41 appearances across all competitions last season.

Chelsea aren't the only ones interested in the 20-year-old as he is also a target of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City, and Man Utd. However, the Blues have an excellent relationship with Dortmund, having signed USMNT talent Christian Pulisic from the Signal Iduna Park while sending Michy Batshuayi in the other direction.

According to Norwegian pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, the London giants are ready to go all out for Haaland and have begun talks for a transfer. The attacker will cost a "very high" fee but the Champions League winners are confident of reaching an agreement with his Bundesliga employers. The player's wage demands, however, could be an issue.

Furthermore, the Sun claim that Tuchel's side are ready to offer a player in exchange to bring down the transfer fee. That man is none other than Tammy Abraham, the young English forward who has fallen out of favor with the current German head coach.

Tammy is valued at $57M, which would go a long as BVB are demanding in excess of $212M for the attacker. Should Dortmund agree to this arrangement, they would not need to sign a replacement as Abraham is a promising forward. However, with Jadon Sancho expected to leave the Signal Iduna Park this summer for Man United, the German giants will likely be reluctant to sell their two most influential players in the same transfer window.
