The Italian manager will not be returning to the Premier League after pulling out of negotiations to move to Spurs.

Antonio Conte has turned down the offer to manage Tottenham Hotspur, multiple reports from the UK have indicated. On Friday evening, the Italian coach pulled the plug on talks which had seemingly progressed well early on after being left dissatisfied with what Spurs were offering.

Conte left Inter Milan at the end of last month after leading them to their first league title in over a decade. His departure was massively influenced by a fallout with the club's hierarchy as he was against their decision to sell some of their key players this summer to help balance their books. The 51-year-old has since revealed his desire to return to the dugout as soon as possible and has not ruled not the possibility of managing a club abroad.

With a clubs rumored to be interested in his service, Tottenham Hotspur recently emerged as frontrunners in race for Conte's signature. Having been in charge of Chelsea between 2016 and 2018, the Italian coach was said to be interested in a move back to London and was equally keen on reuniting with Fabio Paratici who is said to be on the verge of joining Spurs as their new sporting director. The pair worked together at Juventus between 2014 and 2016 and the latter recently left the Bianconeri after having his contract terminated.

However, reports that have emerged suggest that Conte will not be returning to London as he is not happy with the terms being proposed by Tottenham Hotspur as well as the project at the club. According to Sky Italia, the former Inter manager is unconvinced that the Premier League side is ready to win trophies immediately and is reluctant to work with the young players at the club. On the contrary, the North London club is also said to have been put off by Conte's demands and decided that it will be in the best interest of both parties to look elsewhere.
