The holding midfielder had a massive contribution to the game with his opening goal for Guardiola's side, and he did so just when the English club needed it the most, as Inter's defense had prevailed for over an hour before eventually giving in to Manchester City's pressure.

The Spaniard's goal was also good to see him joining an elite list of scorers when it comes to Spanish players, while also earning a piece of history in Manchester City's books with their first-ever goal in a UEFA Champions League final.
