The Bianconeri are on the hunt for some fresh striking options and apparently could make a move for the USMNT striker at a good price.

His father played in Serie A, and now, Timothy Weah could be following in his famous parent's footsteps.

George Weah, the only African player to win a Ballon d'Or, spent five seasons at AC Milan where, up until recently, his 46 goals scored was the most by an African player in Serie A. The younger Weah has always been determined to be judged on his own merits and establish himself as a key player independent of his famous father, and so far, it appears that he is well on his way.

The 23 year old, who has spent the last three seasons at Lille where he played a crucial role in their title win in the 2020/21 season, has just one year left on his contract with his current club. Reports have indicated that Lille, rather than losing him on a free transfer in 2024, have put him up for sale for an estimated $10.7 million (€10 million).

This price, a certain bargain given the player's potential, has attracted the interest of several clubs both in France, with Marseille among those tracking him, and abroad. Juventus have been linked with a move as the Bianconeri seek to rebuild after a disappointing season which ended with them receiving a 10 point deduction, meaning that La Vecchia Signora will not be involved in the Champions League next season.

Should Juventus successfully sign Weah, it will mark the second time the Bianconeri have signed an American player in recent years. Weah's USMNT colleague Weston McKennie made history a few seasons back by becoming the first American international to sign for the Turin giants, and Weah could be joined by still another American player, with the Bianconeri reportedly closely tracking Christian Pulisic.
