The American star, who became the most expensive USMNT signing in Premier League history a few years ago, is now being offered at a cut-price rate in order to ship him out.

Back in 2019, Chelsea made waves with the massive signing of American international Christian Pulisic. The Blues coughed up approximately $73 million to bring the Hershey, Pennsylvania-born attacker in from Borussia Dortmund, which made him the most expensive North American player of all time.

Despite a solid start, Pulisic has largely had a rough time at Stamford Bridge, where injury issues have prevented him from becoming the superstar many had hoped for. As such, he is one of several players expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea's new boss, Mauricio Pochettino want to totally overhaul the squad.

Pulisic himself is now 24, and will also want to secure different opportunities in order to gain regular first-team football and turn his flagging fortunes around. This past season saw him make 24 Premier League appearances, with most coming off the bench, and score just one goal - a poor return for a player with his kind of potential.

Serie A clubs Juventus and Napoli have been linked with his signature, and in order to ensure that Pulisic will be off the books come the start of the 2023/24 season, Chelsea have even apparently resigned themselves to losing him at a hefty loss. Reports indicate that Pulisic's price has been set at just $25 million, nearly $50 million less than what Chelsea paid for him back in January 2019.

It will be interesting to see if the two aforementioned Serie A sides decide to make a serious move with such a low price tag on the player, especially as Pulisic himself is even willing to also drop his wage demands to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge as quickly as possible.
