Plenty of interesting games to keep fans of Major League Soccer entertained this weekend. Here's all you need to know.

While the remainder of Europe's "Big Five" leagues will come to their conclusions this weekend, things are just starting to heat up over in Major League Soccer. So, for fans of MLS, it's set to be a very hectic summer, and matchday 17 will be no exception with all matches being played on Saturday, June 3rd.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday 17 in MLS.

How to watch Matchday 17 in the 2023 MLS season

The races for top spot in the Eastern and Western Conferences are well underway. Over in the Eastern Conference, Cincinnati continue their brilliant start to the season, and will come into their game against Chicago Fire having won five on the spin, and have lost just one league game so far this season. On the other hand, Chicago have had a bumpy start, and that is exemplified by their four game winless streak ahead of Saturday's game.

Meanwhile, Nashville, who are on 28 points and eight behind top-placed Cincinnati, will hope to continue their solid form when they travel to face Dallas. And struggling Inter Miami, who are bottom of the table following a four match losing streak, will once again hope to revive their fortunes when they host DC United at 19.30 EST (16.30 PST).

In the Western Conference, the battle for top spot is a lot more congested. Seattle Sounders sit on top of the pile, but only by one point. They will be facing Portland Timbers in a much-anticipated derby clash this weekend; both teams will come into that contest following their respective defeats midweek, so it goes without saying that all three points will be the ultimate goal of each side.

Finally, St. Louis could have a chance to leap-frog Seattle into top spot, provided they win their upcoming game against Houston Dynamo and Seattle end up dropping points earlier on Saturday.

Some fans, especially those in the USA and Canada, will be able to follow some of these games on TV. However, for those who can't access MLS games via TV or prefer a more flexible option, MLS Season Pass offers live streaming of MLS matches in over 100 countries worldwide.

It's safe to say that pressure is rapidly mounting on Inter Miami boss Phil Neville, who lashed out following his team's 3-1 defeat to Orlando City. Following his outburst, the Herons slumped to yet another defeat, losing 1-0 to Montreal despite seemingly turning a corner during their 2-1 win over Nashville in the US Open Cup.

Overall, Inter Miami have lost ten of their 15 MLS games so far this season, and the onus will be on Neville to turn things around quickly if he wants to remain on the tactician's bench for the rest of this campaign.

A truly historic match

On Wednesday, Vancouver Whitecaps clinched a crucial win as they successfully battled to a 6-2 victory over Houston Dynamo. It was certainly a thrilling spectacle for many observers, especially considering that it's not a common happening to see eight goals scored in one game.

The match, not surprisingly, set a huge milestone, not just for Vancouver, but for
