The playmaker has spoken candidly about the skills of one of his teammates with A Selecao, hinting that the club could make a move to sign him.

The start of the offseason will bring many rumors for teams all around the world, and such will be the case for Manchester United, who will surely be in the lookout for a new striker.

Their quest to find a suitable footballer to wear the No.9 jersey may not be extensive, as Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has opened up on this pursuit and even went ahead to promote the signing of his countryman, Gonçalo Ramos.

In an interview with Sport TV, Fernandes discussed how Ramos would be a perfect fit for Manchester United's tactics, and he dropped a challenge for the Benfica man, who he believes should make a move to the English top-flight.

"Goncalo has all the conditions to play in the Premier League, he is very intense, presses very well and is very good inside the area. He surprised me in the national team, not only me but the rest of my teammates. He's physically strong, he's still young and he's going to get better," Fernandes to Sport TV.

Then, Fernandes revealed why he could be Manchester United material.

The best always come in handy, be it Goncalo or another player. I think he has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say Premier League I also mean Manchester United. I think he could become a great reference in the coming years, but it's still not in my hands to be sports director," Fernandes added.

The playmaker went on about how he could become a household name in the world of football, but to see that happening, Ramos must push for a transfer to a more demanding tournament.

"If he continues to work as he has been doing, I think he has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world, but he needs to go to a more competitive league to prove it," Fernandes concluded.

The player, represented by Jorge Mendes' agency Gestifute, has been marked as key for Benfica's purposes. Nevertheless, the striker could move to a Premier League club if they can come up with the transfer fee requested by the Liga Portugal champions. Will we see Ramos joining Manchester United? We will have to wait for further developments.
