The Blues are looking to build on their UEFA Champions League success come the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are still basking in the glory that is their UEFA Champions League success, but for the club's executives, the focus has quickly shifted to the transfer window and the team's future. Thomas Tuchel, who was initially handed a mere 18-month deal upon replacing Lampard, is set for an extension while the Blues are already planning for the summer transfer window.

While the London giants were crowned the champions of Europe, beating Pep's Man City side 1-0 in the final, the aim is to build on the current crop of players in order to push for the Premier League title. The Stamford Bridge team finished in fourth, which was impressive given the circumstances, but not ideal by the club's standards.

Although Chelsea are unlikely to repeat last summer's spending spree, Abramovich is expected to offer the club a considerable amount of funds as signings are needed. Tuchel did not shy away from admitting this when asked, openly revealing his desire to bring two to three new faces to the English capital.

"Two or three could be very, very good," the German tactician said, as per Goal, when asked his number of targets for his first summer transfer window at Chelsea.

"It's a constant thing to never deny change.

"That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it's a good thing."

So who are Chelsea looking to sign? It is no secret that the club are on the lookout for a reliable goalscorer. Despite the team's exquisite performance in the win over City, it was hard not to notice Timo Werner's disappointing first-half display in Porto, with the German striker's wastefulness once again letting the team down.

Several names are said to be on the Blues' radar. Lewandowski has been linked, but the odds of Bayern Munich letting the Polish goalscoring machine go are close to nil. Other more realistic targets being mentioned are Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, and Romelu Lukaku.

Haaland might not be allowed to leave this summer while Kane could turn down the Blues out of respect for his current London employers Tottenham. This leaves Lukaku, their former player, who is being touted to return to the Bridge.

It is no secret that Inter Milan are in financial crisis, with the Italian champions looking to sell a few of their biggest assets in order to raise funds and balance the books. The Nerazzurri's valuation, however, is seen as an issue as the Serie A side want $142M for the Belgian while the Blues are looking for a deal below that region.
