Mauricio Pochettino is set to take the helm at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea has finally reached an agreement with the Argentine to become their next permanent manager. An official announcement is anticipated in the coming days, marking an end to the club's prolonged search for Graham Potter's successor.
Chelsea's interest in Pochettino dates back to early April, soon after Potter's departure, when initial reports linking the Argentine with the managerial role emerged. Now, multiple sources confirm that the Blues have taken a significant stride towards securing their desired candidate, with a finalized contract awaiting only the formal signing. After opening dialogues with Luis Enrique, Julian Nagelsmann, among others, the London club have finally settled for the former Spurs boss.

The appointment signifies Pochettino's eagerly awaited return to management since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of the 2022. Moreover, it also marks his long-awaited comeback to the Premier League, following his dismissal as the boss of Tottenham Hotspur in November 2019.
While the finer details of the agreement are yet to be ironed out, it is expected that Pochettino will assume his new position at Chelsea at the conclusion of the ongoing campaign. According to the Mirror, familiar faces such as Jesus Perez, Miguel D'Agostino, Toni Jimenez, and his son, Sebastiano Pochettino, will form part of 5q-year-old Agrentina coach's backroom staff and will be joining him in West London when all has been finalised.
Pochettino's appointment is anticipated to inject fresh energy and tactical acumen into Chelsea's ranks as a result of his proven track record of success.
