The North London team is yet to name a replacement for Antonio Conte, but the alleged frontrunner for the gig has fallen out of the race.

Tottenham Hotspur have decided to keep on searching for the right coach to join them for next season, and that call has seen them snub Julian Nagelsmann, who seemed to be the main option for the team's dugout.

Sources consulted by Sky Sports state that, even if Tottenham execs respect and think highly of Nagelsmann, there will be no talks with the German tactician from this point forward, which will leave the race to become their coach wide open.

The club will be exploring other options to become their new coach, with some of the alternatives to join them being Xabi Alonso, Vincent Kompany, and even interim coach Ryan Mason.

Sources close to the team have revealed that the possibility of giving Mason the permanent spot will depend exclusively on his performance in the final games of the season, where Spurs will try to secure Champions League football in their last three matches.

As of now, Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League with 57 points, six behind Manchester United (who are fourth and with a game in hand). The team will need to win all their remaining fixtures to secure UCL football next season, but even if they do, their chances of making it to the top European tournament seem slim.

Now, following Nagelsmann's snub, the club may take even more time to decide who'll lead them into the 2023-24 season. Let us hope for the sake of their fans they make the right move when the time comes.
