The tie between Los Blancos and The Cityzens will be right in the middle of all discussions this Tuesday, with more of that talk coming in a few hours.

Fans and experts across the globe believe that the game between Manchester City and Real Madrid will be one of the most exciting in years, and while some think it will be tough to predict, others believe that Manchester City's skills will make it a one-sided event.

Such is the case of Wayne Rooney, who recently stated that the Cityzens would "tear Real Madrid apart", some words that did not go down well among Los Blancos' supporters. Today, those who felt a bit offended by those statements had their voices heard by Toni Kroos, who decided to step up and issue a reply to the former striker.

Speaking in today's press conference, the German midfielder replied to Rooney in emphatic fashion, recalling how everyone believed Manchester City would eliminate Los Blancos and the Spanish club bounced back to take the title home.

"The same thing happned last year, no one expected we would we, and we did. I remember what Rooney said, but others have said the same. Honestly it doesn't matter to us, it doesn't give us any more motivation. It is impossible to be more motivated right now," Kroos stated.

The German footballer went on further to analyze how Pep Guardiola could prepare for this tie.

"Pep's teams always play their particular brand of football. We know what his idea is and you can always see it with his teams, and he always looks to improve them with his tactics or by hiring new players. For example, Haaland is a different kind of guy, he has scored 51 goals this season. He has made Manchester City a better team, and we expect them to go out there strong," Kroos added.

Before the press conference concluded, Kroos looked back at how this version of Manchester City compares to other clubs they have faced, hinting that the game may not be that easy due to the skills their rivals on Tuesday have.

"I don't know if they are stronger than other clubs. Luckily, we have played some tough matches, we've won some and lost some. I remember one against Ajax, where we lost 4-1. It is not a question of whether it was hard or not, but they were tough to beat back then. Either way, facing Manchester City with Pep at the helm won't be easy, that's for sure," Kroos concluded.
