The French side is expected to decide who will become their new tactician once they have secured the top spot in the league.

One of the major transfer sagas of the upcoming summer will certainly have to do with who takes over as PSG's new boss, and while there are still some who believe that Christoph Galtier will remain as Les Parisiens' boss, others are already naming those who could take over with the Ligue 1 champions.

A report by RMC Sport states that, even if Galtier has told media outlets he is very much involved in the team's re-building process for next season, the club is still considering suitable options to replace the former Nice boss.

The first name to emerge is that of Zinedine Zidane, who has been out of a job since he resigned from Real Madrid in 2021. Zidane is a respected coach in France and in Europe for his accomplishments with Los Blancos and has been sought out by several teams in the world. Nevertheless, he decided to wait for an opening with the French National Team, an offer that never came his way. No, Zidane has listened to all suitors and could be inclined to take that job.

The second man lined up to replace Galtier is José Mourinho, another former Real Madrid coach and who is currently thriving with Roma. The Special One is still under contract with Roma, but his close relationship with Luis Campos and the idea of coaching one of the best squads in Europe could be tempting enough for him to leave the comfortable atmosphere he has found in the Italian capital.

Last, but not least, the name of Thiago Motta has also been included in the mix to become PSG's manager. The former midfielder has turned a few heads after what he has done with Bologna, and the club are considering him for the job after an initial contact with him last summer before Campos decided to hire Galtier. Now, having proven he is capable of coaching a team from a big league, Motta could become the man for the job due to his past experience with Les Parisiens.

Even if these names sound quite appealing, all of them have certain issues to sort out before they take the job. For example, Zidane has been reluctant in the past to take the job at PSG due to his strong links to Olympique Marseille, and if that was not enough, Zidane has been linked with both Juventus and Real Madrid in the past weeks.

Meanwhile, bringing Mourinho in would come a bit expensive, as the team may be forced to pay a buyout clause to Roma for his services. To top it all, his sometimes toxic behaviour could be a recipe for disaster in an already volatile team. As for Motta, his lack of experience in a dressing room full of egos could be crucial to see him missing out on the job, but only time will tell if Galtier is eventually sacked and there is a job opening for any of these coaches to apply to.
