The Blues will continue to interview candidates in coming weeks, but reports coming in from England state that the Spaniard will not be included,

If Chelsea fans wanted to see Luis Enrique coaching their favorite team, they will have to wait for that to happen in real life, or they can use him on their favorite football simulator, since the Blues have reportedly ended their interest in hiring the former Barcelona boss.

According to a report by The Telegraph, the Spaniard has been ruled out of the race to become Chelsea's coach for the 2023-24 season. The main reason for his exclusion would be Todd Boehly's doubts on the tactician's ability to adapt to the Premier League.

While the team from the north side of London will continue interviewing coaches, the newspaper claims that Luis Enrique will not be given another chance to present his project for the Blues.

The English newspaper also adds that Chelsea has narrowed their shortlist to two candidates, with Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino as the frontrunners for the job. Curiously, Nagelsmann is also unexperienced in Premier League games, which could mean that Mauricio Pochettino still has an edge over his German colleague.

As for Luis Enrique, The Telegraph adds that his future could still be in England, with Tottenham still keen on signing him as their head coach for next season, where he would take over for Antonio Conte.
