Coach Anthony Hudson has been limited to choose MLS players for the upcoming clash against El Tri, with only one exception in this roster.

One of the most intense rivalries in the world of football -and in life, apparently- will always include Mexico and the United States. The North American neighbors will lock horns next week with their sights set on the CONCACAF Nations League semi-finals, and the USMNT have already released the squad that will be facing El Tri next week.

Contrary to popular belief, coach Anthony Hudson was forced to come up with this squad without any players earning their trade in Europe, since this match will be played outside of FIFA's international break rules. In fact, winger Alejandro Zendejas was not allowed to join the team after Club América turned down the request from the U.S. Soccer Federation and even if the Liga MX side will allow Mexican players to join El Tri.

The only exception to this rule was Sergiño Dest, who was allowed by Milan to join the squad since he will not be considered to play in coming days. The rest of the players Hudson summoned to face El Tri come from Major League Soccer teams and Liga MX clubs.

Here is the team that Anthony Hudson will lead to face Mexico next week.

This will be the first match for the USMNT against Mexico in over a year. The most recent meeting between these familiar foes took place on March 24, 2022. Sadly for both teams' supporters, the match ended in a goalless draw.
