The Asturian tactician has been out of work since stepping down as the Spanish national team boss following the FIFA World Cup. However, he could be headed to the Premier League soon.

Luis Enrique is one of the hottest available managers in the world of football, and given the recent managerial changes that have taken place in the Premier League, the Spaniard has been linked with a move to England recently.

In fact, the former Barcelona tactician is already in London, arriving in the English capital to begin talks with one of the Premier League's biggest clubs. To no one's surprise, that team is Chelsea.

The Blues are currently without a permanent head coach following the sacking of Graham Potter over the weekend. Bruno Saltor, Potter's assistant, has taken over in an interim role and was even in charge for yesterday's showdown with Liverpool, which ended in a goalless draw.

However, Boehly and Co. are keen on getting a top manager and the club have drawn up a five-man shortlist, which includes Enrique. The Spaniard has been out of work since stepping down as the boss of the Spanish national team following their FIFA World Cup exit and is reportedly keen on the Stamford Bridge job.

The Asturian coach impressed during initial talks with Chelsea, clearly laying out his vision for the club, which entails a high-intensity system and the utilization of younger players. As revealed by Jijantes FC, the 52-year-old is now in the English capital to discuss the role even further.

After Potter was let go, Julian Nagelsmann became the early favorite. While the German boss remains high on Chelsea's wishlist, Enrique looks to have overtaken the former Bayern Munich boss.

Both Enrique and Nagelsmann are also of interest to Tottenham, who recently sacked Antonio Conte. However, neither of the two highly-rated tacticians appears keen on joining Spurs.

The aforementioned Spaniard has been of interest to Chelsea before, having led Barcelona to a UEFA Champions League title as well as domestic success. However, his proficiency in English, or lack thereof, was seen as an issue. Fortunately, the Spaniard has improved in this regard.

The London giants have already sacked two managers this season and will have to get it right with their next appointment. The club currently sits in the bottom half of the table, with the 0-0 draw at home to Liverpool leaving them in 11th.

Next up for the English giants are two tricky away tests, first at Wolves this weekend followed by their UEFA Champions League showdown with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
