The Italian tactician was sacked last weekend due to his poor results and for the toxic environment surrounding his stay with the North London club.

The end of Antonio Conte's stint at Tottenham is still giving experts quite a lot to discuss, and to some, the Italian's exit from the club was not surprising at all.

Speaking in an interview with Corriere della Sera, former Italian striker Christian Vieri, who played alongside the former Spurs coach, shared how he was left unsurprised by his exit from the North London side. According to Vieri, Conte's ways have nothing in common with how Tottenham have behaved in the past.

"Conte is used to clash with everyone. It's part of his character. If a club bet on his signing, they have to know he will never be satisfied, he is harsh and very demanding. He is hard to deal with, he will leave you speechless at times," Vieri stated.

The former striker went on about Conte's ways, comparing him with another top coach and how that may not be the kind of pressure some players can handle for too long.

"Coaches like Conte and Mourinho are like hammers, they pound you and they demand the most out of you during every game. Then, there are others who are satisfied with anything. Every coach has their own perspective, but Conte is not one of the latter," Vieri added.

It has been said that Conte had a complicated relationship with some of his footballers, which forced Tottenham to let him leave after a series of complicated games. The North London club is yet to make an announcement on who will replace Conte on the long run.
