The Scottish midfielder helped his national team to a great start of the qualifiers with multiple goals in this international break.

It was a flying start for the Tartan Army in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers, and while most of their fans believed their strikers could have a hand in a good beginning of the process to play in Germany next year, they had to change their praises to none other than Scott McTominay.

The team led by Steve Clarke won both of their games in this international break without conceding, but today's game was a bit more special for McTominay. The Manchester United midfielder had something to do with four of the team's five goals in this break, scoring two against Cyprus and a couple more against Spain.

McTominay, who remembered his academy days when he performed as a striker, scored once in each half to give the blue and white side a comfortable and deserved lead against La Roja, who failed to hit the nail on its head during this match, giving way for one of the biggest surprises in this break.

McTominay managed to accomplish a couple of records for his resume, while also being able to re-write some of the team's history books.

As things stand, McTominay leads the goalscoring charts in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers, and while we do not expect this to become a trend for the Scottish side, it is certainly interesting for Manchester United fans how the player will return to their dugout in fine form during a key moment of the season.
