Bayern shocked the world by firing Julian Nagelsmann despite still being involved in all competitions they could win at the start of the season, and they will continue to be shocked once they know the amount of money they will be paying their new boss, Thomas Tuchel.
The former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea skipper joined the Bavarian side with only one condition: he wanted a short-term deal. The club agreed and offered the UEFA Champions League winner with the Blues a 30-month deal, which will cover the rest of this season and two more.
What can be deemed as quite impressive is that Tuchel will become one of the best-paid coaches in the world, as he will be earning over $12M per season. That number will see him among the top five in the world, replacing Antonio Conte as one of the best-paid in the business and surpassing other colleagues of his such as Brendan Rodgers, Carlo Ancelotti, and Jose Mourinho.
Tuchel will now try to see the end of his deal, as Bayern have seen seven coaches coming and going since 2016, when Pep Guardiola refused to extend his deal with Die Roten. Coaches such as Carlo Ancelotti, Jupp Heynckes, Niko Kovac, Hansi Flick, and Julian Nagelsmann have been fired by the German giants, and only time will tell what fate has in store for the former PSG tactician, who will surely be fired up to face Borussia Dortmund this Saturday in his first match as Bayern's coach.
