Muller hilariously trolls interviewer over his age

VIDEO: Bayern star Thomas Muller mercilessly trolls interviewer after being asked age-related question

March 28, 2023 By Ali M.
The German was simply asked if there is anything he appreciates more now that he is older. However, the World Cup winner opted to roast the interviewer instead.

Thomas Muller is at it again!

The Bayern Munich star, who has a reputation for being one of the most eccentric characters in the game, has gone viral once again thanks to his uncandid — and brilliant — humor.

The German ace, who turns 34 later this year, sat down for an interview with ESPN and was asked about his age. The versatile veteran is nearing the end of his career and has achieved everything in the men's game, and was thus asked if there is something he has grown to enjoy after all these years.

Bayern Munich are no longer top of the Bundesliga table but are only a point behind leaders Dortmund. This means the Bavarians are still in the hunt for the treble, which would be a third treble for Muller, and the player could have simply chosen trophies or goals as something he has grown to appreciate more at this age.

However, the Raumdeuter doesn't play by the books and decided to troll the journalist instead. The 33-year-old reminded the interviewer that he too is aging and poked fun at his presumably out-of-date jacket.

"You are also getting older as a journalist," Muller fired back.

"Your jacket is maybe from 15 years ago. The face, not!"

Fortunately, both men saw the light side of this interaction and burst out in laughter. Check it out in the clip below.

As mentioned earlier, Bayern Munich are still in the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and UEFA Champions League title races. Domestically, the Bavarians have surrendered the lead to Dortmund and will face Manchester City in Europe in the quarterfinal stage.

However, the recent sacking of Julian Nagelsmann — and the subsequent appointment of Thomas Tuchel — could change the club's fortunes around. While die Roten aren't in a huge crisis, the club appeared to be slipping under their previous head coach and have thus embarked on a managerial change.

Muller and Co. are gearing up for a tricky period as they will face Dortmund in Der Klassiker straight after the international break. Following that are back-to-back showdowns with Freiburg, one in the cup and the other in the league, before their 1st leg quarterfinal showdown with Guardiola's men.
