Manchester United's search for a striker has gone on for quite a while, but the team has recently heard about some good news regarding one of their main targets to boost their skills in that position.

According to a report by Portuguese newspaper Record, striker Gonçalo Ramos will push hard for an exit this summer, mainly due to some unfulfilled promises made to him by Benfica's president, Rui Costa.

The Portuguese media outlet states that Benfica will not get in the way of Ramos' exit if a team comes knocking on their door with a $105M check. Added to that, the player has changed his stance on a potential exit after being promised a wage increase by Costa, which is yet to be materialized as per sources close to the striker.

The English side has been trying hard to hire a reliable striker, and one of the top contenders for that job is Harry Kane. Nevertheless, having to pay over $100M for a 29-year old striker or for a 21-year-old star could be a tricky decision, and if things go as planned, the man with the best option to join the Red Devils could be Ramos.

This season, the Portuguese international has scored 24 times in 36 games for Benfica, which make him quite a reliable signing. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if he can handle the pressure of being the first attacking option for a Premier League club.
