The Uruguayan defender put the ball in the wrong net in Sunday night's epic affair at Camp Nou.

Barcelona defender Ronaldo Araujo had the worst possible start in Sunday's El Clasico at Camp Nou for the role he played in the game's opening goal. The 24-year-old put the Blaugrana on the back foot by scoring an own-goal inside the early minutes of the encounter.

The much-anticipated encounter kicked off on a positive note, with both sides showing promise with their attacking moves and it did not take long for one side to be rewarded. Just nine minutes into proceedings, Araujo got his head on a hopeful cross from Vinicius Junior and saw the ball go past Ter Stegen at the near post into the Barca net.

However, before the break, parity was restored for Barcleona after Sergi Roberto curled the ball into the net from close range.
