Premier League: Where to watch Arsenal vs Everton live on March 1, 2023

February 28, 2023 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
The Gunners will finally get to play their remaining outstanding match when the welcome Everton to the Emirates on Wednesday.

Arsenal welcomes Everton to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday for a crucial Premier League fixture. The Gunners, who are currently sitting at the top of the table with 57 points, have enjoyed a mixture of good and bad fortunes in recent weeks and will be looking to maintain their position with a win.

Over the weekend, Mikel Arteta led his side to a successive victory at Leicester, ending the keenly contested affair with a 1-0 scoreline in their favor. The week before, they were able to stage an extraordinary comeback to defeat Aston Villa via a 4-2 scoreline at the Villa Park. Indeed, the turn in fortune has been welcomed by fans of the club considering how their previous four games had been.

Before meeting the Villans, the Gunners had been kicked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City and were only able to pick up a point from a possible nine in league games against Everton, Brentford and Pep Guardiola's City once again. With the tide now seemingly in their favor, they will look to add to their quest to win the premiership with another big result.

Speaking of Everton, Arsenal have a very record against the Toffees, having lost just one of their last 26 home games against them in the Premier League (W21 D4). A win for the Emirates outfit would be their 100th league victory against the club from Merseyside, a milestone that the former will be eager to reach. They are also looking to become the joint fastest team to reach 60 points in a single league campaign, having previously done so in the 2003-04 and 2007-08 seasons after 25 games.

Everton, on the other hand, are fighting for survival as they are in 18th position and a point below safety. Needless to say, the upcoming fixture could present them another great opportunity to bolster their survivals hopes by defying the odds once more.

In what was Sean Dyche's first game as Everton boss on 4th February, the Toffees managed a shock 1-0 home win over Arsenal. The result meant that they have now won four of their last five Premier League games against the North London club, and they will be confident of causing an upset in Wednesday's fixture. However, they will face a much stronger Arsenal side this time around, with the Gunners will be looking to get their revenge.

The latter cannot afford to take Everton lightly, especially with Manchester City hot on their heels in the title race. City is just two points behind Arsenal and will be hoping for a slip-up from the Gunners.
