Once again, PSG are facing elimination in the UEFA Champions League right in the eyes, and if that ends up happening, there could be some major managerial changes coming to the French side...and they could even take place before this season ends.
The French club is taking a lot of criticism for their poor performance against Bayern, and considering that their loss against Die Roten was their third in a row across all comps, the team's hierarchy has identified two names as potential replacements for Christoph Galtier: Zinedine Zidane and Thomas Tuchel.
Back in the summer, Zidane's name seemed to be a lock to become PSG's coach, but the former Real Madrid boss turned down the offer to wait for an opening with Les Bleus. Unfortunately for him, Didier Deschamps extended his deal with the French team until 2026, forcing Zizou to look for other employment opportunities. If PSG decide to sack Galtier, Zidane will be at the top of their wishlist without a doubt, as the relationship between the club and the coach is on great terms.
The other option to replace Galtier is, surprisingly, former coach Thomas Tuchel. The German tactician left PSG after his personal differences with former sporting director Leonardo became too much, with the former midfielder replacing him for Mauricio Pochettino. Now, certain members of PSG's hierarchy have spoken to Tuchel about returning to the team, and if the job is up for grabs, they will make sure Nasser Al-Khelaifi considers him as a candidate.
Right now, the team's focus will be to end their three-game losing streak as soon as possible. The Ligue 1 leaders will have two chances of doing so when they face Lille and Marseille in the next week, but if the team keeps showing such a disappointing form and lack of drive to find the back of the net (they only took one shot against Bayern during the first half), the team's president could be inclined to part ways with their coach even if that means having to sack him before the season comes to an end.
