The Argentine ace completed his move from Benfica just minutes before the deadline for a never-seen amount in Blues' history.

After a long month where negotiations between Benfica and Chelsea seemed to be going nowhere, the Blues were finally able to unveil Enzo Fernández as one of their own one day after Deadline Day.

The footballer was happy to show off his new colors in an Instagram post, where he revealed he will be using the number left behind by Jorginho, who ended up joining Arsenal hours before the deal for his services was announced by Chelsea.

Nevertheless, a decision is expected by UEFA regarding his new number. The Argentine ace may be forced to choose one more jersey to play for Chelsea in the European competition, since football's governing body in Europe does not allow two players to wear the same jersey in the same season, which would happen with Chelsea if Fernández played with this one, with Jorginho playing with it during the group stage.

This would not be the first case in Europe for a player to have two different numbers. Footballers such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Erik Lamela, and even Lionel Messi in his first year with Barcelona were forced to use different numbers in their leagues and in Europe to follow UEFA's ruling, but it would certainly be the first one where such a high-profile transfer is forced to wear different numbers.

So, after such a big transfer saga, Chelsea may be able to cash in on the footballer's image by selling two of his jerseys...it will be up to the fans to choose which one they like the most.
