Barcelona will now have to add another right-back to their summer transfer list following the exit of the former Arsenal man.

One of Barcelona's panic signings during the summer has found a way out of los Culés during Deadline day, as Héctor Bellerín will leave the club with less than ten games played for Los Blaugranas to join Sporting CP in the Portuguese top-flight.

Bellerín, who joined Barcelona as an option at right-back, failed to gain playing time under Xavi Hernández, which saw him asking the team's front office to let him leave if any offers came for his services. With Sporting parting ways with Pedro Porro, who will join Spurs, Bellerín became their first option to fill that void.

While fans are still waiting for an official announcement, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the footballer will join the Lions on a permanent transfer.

Earlier today, speaking in his pre-match press conference, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández admitted that letting Bellerín go was something he approved.

"Hector asked us to let him leave because he wanted more playing time. We thank him. He never gave us any problems. In his case, it was my decision (to leave him on the bench). I saw better form in Sergi (Roberto), Jules (Koundé), Ronald (Araújo). It is not easy to show good form while playing for Barcelona," Xavi added.
