The Japanese winger scored the decisive goal in Sunday's cup clash at the Amex.

Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma handed Liverpool another heartbreak by scoring an incredible last-gasp winner in Sunday after's FA Cup fourth round match-up. The Japanese winger hit the Reds with the dagger inside the 93rd minute to secure his side's progression as their opponent's quest to defend their title came to an agonizing end.

It was practically a revenge mission for Liverpool as they aimed to vindicate themselves after suffering a 3-0 humbling in the Premier League at the hands of Brighton two weeks ago. After playing a little over the half-hour mark, Liverpool broke the deadlock through Harvey Elliott. The young midfielder found the bottom corner following an electrifying counter attack with Mohamed Salah involved. However, not long after, Brighton got the leveller when Tariq Lamptey's long range attempt deflected off Lewis Dunk into into the back of the net.

With all indications pointing at a replay at Anfield, Mitoma emerged to snatch the all-important winner for the Seagulls. The Japanese winger exhibited great composure inside the Liverpool penalty box, calmly controlling the ball which was nodded into his path by Pervis Estupinan before volleying it in from close range to spark wild celebrations across the stadium.
