The 24-year-old midfielder could become the latest USMNT ace to touch foot in England's prestigious league.

Weston McKennie's time in Italy looks to be nearing an end, but fans of the USMNT talent need not feel dejected as the former Schalke ace is reportedly preparing for an exciting move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has been in Turin since 2020, initially joining on loan before making his stay permanent the following year. However, a lot has happened to the Serie A giants since then, namely their recent points deduction, and the Bianconeri wish to move the midfielder on.

A loan with an option to buy had been touted but now a permanent move to England looks to be on the horizon. While Premier League leaders Arsenal have been linked with McKennie, the ones currently leading the race to sign the Juventus midfielder are Leeds.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has agreed terms with the Whites and is ready to move to Elland Road. However, the team must now come to an agreement with the Old Lady over a transfer fee.

Despite Juventus' current crisis, the Serie A giants are reportedly in no rush to sell. Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports reports that Weston's current employers want over €30M ($33M) for the midfielder but Leeds are hoping to negotiate that number down.

If this move goes through, McKennie will join fellow countrymen Jesse Marsch, Tyler Adams, and Brenden Aaronson at Elland Road. Leeds are currently 15th in the table, only one point above the relegation zone, and will hope their USA contingent can save them from the drop.

As for Arsenal, the Gunners will look elsewhere for a new midfielder. Declan Rice is target no.1 but will have to wait until the summer while Moises Caicedo and Amadou Onana are also on their radar.
