The Red Devils have contacted the camp of the exciting talent with their Premier League rivals intensifying their pursuit.

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Lyon full-back Malo Gusto amid interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea. The Red Devils are said to have attempted to encourage the young defender not to be hasty in his decision-making as the Blues continue push for his signing in the winter transfer window.

Malo Gusto has long been linked with a move to Manchester United after bursting onto the scene and establishing himself as one of European football's hottest prospect. The 19-year-old has been tipped as the next big thing with his explosive pace as well as his excellent dribbling and crossing ability. In recent months, he has been watched by scouts from the Red Devils, alongside representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Manchester City ahead of a possible move next summer.

However, a report by French news outlet RMC revealed that the player could well be on the move sooner rather than later with Chelsea reaching out to his camp. It has been revealed that the 19-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Stamford Bridge outfit who are now negotiating a transfer fee with Lyon.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is not giving up on the dream of signing the young full-back tipped to rival the likes of Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a starting spot. According to multiple reports from France, representatives from Erik ten Hag's side have advised the Lyon starlet against making a rash decision to join Chelsea.

Although no definitive decision has been made, Malo Gusto has been tipped to complete the move to London as he is said to be keen on being part of the club's project. He will join the likes of David Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, Joao Felix (loan), Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke as the newest addition this January.
