Reports coming in from England suggest that a bid for the most-winning club in EPL history could be submitted by the most successful driver in the category.

Rumors keep flowing about potential new owners for Manchester United, and the latest one involves two prominent figures in England, who are willing to risk their estate to be at the top of the Red Devils' seating chart.

According to a report by The Mirror, long time Manchester United supporter Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to submit a new bid to own his beloved club, but this time, the English tycoon would not be alone in his efforts, as he will be joined by none other than Formula One pilot Lewis Hamilton in that bid.

The 38-year old race car driver has been a good friend of Ratcliffe's since the tycoon's company, INEOS, became a sponsor for Hamilton's Formula One team, Mercedes Benz. Now, both English millionaires will present a bid to the Glazers to take control over the club, one of the most popular in the world.

This will not be the first attempt by Hamilton to become the co-owner of a football club, as he was behind the bid fueled by Sir Martin Broughton to buy Chelsea last year. Despite being turned down, Hamilton seems to be relentless about his intention to own a football team, and his partnership with Ratcliffe is a good example of his desire to do so.

Both Hamilton and Ratcliffe have shown interest in adding sports teams to their portfolios. Hamilton is a co-owner of the Denver Broncos since 2022, while Ratcliffe is also the owner of Ligue 1 side Nice and Swiss club Lausanne Sport. With both of their fortunes backing the potential offer, it is safe to say that we could be in to witness a mammoth takeover at Old Trafford...only time will tell if it is successful enough to see the Glazers selling the club.
