With Joao Felix off to Chelsea, Los Rojiblancos are reportedly looking to a rival club to find a replacement.

With Joao Felix having secured a loan move to Chelsea, Atletico Madrid have already turned their attention towards finding someone to replace the Portuguese international.

According to reports, Los Rojiblancos are closely monitoring the situation of Barcelona's Memphis Depay. The Dutch international has seen his playing time drastically reduced this season and has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou since the start of this current campaign.

Serie A's Juventus were one team that were apparently keen, but the player did not seem keen on a move to Italy as the Bianconeri could not match the wages he would like to receive.

Fellow Serie A side Roma have also been linked with him, but again, the fact that neither Italian team were prepared to pay him the same wages he earns at Barcelona has put the Spanish side at a significant advantage.

Although Barcelona are a rival of Atletico Madrid, that certainly would not prevent the two sides from conducting business should a deal that benefits both sides be agreed upon. Barcelona are really hoping to shift some of their players as they hope to cut down on their wage bill, while Diego Simeone's team are in the hunt for some reinforcements, especially in attack, so on paper, this could be a potential promising situation for both sides.
