The Argentine goalkeeper mocked the Frenchman by carrying a baby with the face of the PSG star during La Albiceleste's title parade, Here's what Kylian had to say on this matter.

Kylian Mbappe returned to action for the first time since France's FIFA World Cup final defeat vs. Argentina, with the superstar starting for PSG in their dramatic 2-1 victory over Strasbourg.

The 24-year-old, who cut his holiday short in order to be back for his team's first post-Qatar 2022 fixture, netted the winning goal deep into stoppage time, converting a penalty in 90+6 to secure the three points.

And after the match, the Parc des Princes stopped for questions, meaning journalists had the opportunity to quiz the Frenchman on some of the FIFA World Cup controversies, namely Emiliano Martinez's antics.

Despite being one of the first players to console Mbappe after La Albiceleste triumphed on penalties, the South American goalkeeper was caught mocking Kylian twice, first during the dressing-room celebrations and later during the parade back home.

While in Buenos Aires, Martinez was spotted carrying a baby doll with the 2018 World Cup winner's face on it during the open-top bus tour, which sparked controversy among fans and pundits. Some excused the Aston Villa keeper's behavior while others criticized him for lacking class. Even his club manager Unai Emery and Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira weighed in on the conversation!

But what did Mbappe think of all of this? The Frenchman was asked this question following Wednesday's Ligue 1 victory and gave a mature response, stating that he does not give much thought to that controversy while reiterating his harmony with Lionel Messi, who was present during Martinez's antics.

"Celebrations are not my problem," Kylian said, as per Goal.

"I don't waste energy on such futile things, the important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club."

"We will wait for Leo to come back to continue scoring and winning games. I spoke with him after the final, I congratulated him. It was the quest of a lifetime for him, for me too, but I failed, so you always have to be a good sport."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the sign of the ultimate professional. PSG are in the midst of a promising season and will need both Mbappe and Messi firing on all cylinders if they are to win the UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 crowns.

Next up for Galtier's men is Sunday's exciting trip to second-placed Lens. Unfortunately, the league leaders will be without Neymar, who was sent off in the victory over Strasbourg after being booked twice for diving.
