The North London giants have made an official offer for the 21-year-old and have gotten a response.

It is no secret that Arsenal are after Ukrainian sensation Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The Gunners might be top of the Premier League with a seven-point advantage over their nearest rivals, but the North London giants are extremely light on attackers, with the injuries to Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus leaving them short on options.

As a result, Arteta's side have fast-tracked their pursuit of the aforementioned Shakhtar Donetsk star, who was on their radar last summer, amid their unexpected title challenge.

In fact, the English top-flight leaders have already made a bid for the 21-year-old, who has both indirectly and directly confessed to wanting an Emirates Stadium move. According to Fabrizio Romano, that offer was worth €40M (roughly $43M) plus €20M ($21M) in add-ons.

Unfortunately, Arsenal received a blow as that bid has since been rejected by Shakhtar, which was revealed by Sam Dean of the Telegraph. To no one's surprise, the Miners deemed that offer way below their valuation.

But what is the positive update? An article from the Athletic reveals that while Shakhtar turned down that offer, the club remains in negotiations with the Premier League giants.

Furthermore, there is a desire from both parties, not only from the Gunners, to get this deal done. However, the question is whether they can come to an agreement or not.

The Ukrainian giants have publicly stated that they want a whopping €100M for their highly-rated winger. While Mudryk's employers are reportedly open to a compromise, it remains unclear whether they will hold the North London giants for ransom or negotiate a fair price.
