The Reds and PSV have signed a deal that will see the Dutch sensation making his Premier League debut in January.

When Manchester United fans were dreaming about watching Cody Gakpo as Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement, Liverpool were quicker to show their intentions to hire the footballer and ended up adding the footballer to their roster with immediate effect.

In a brief tweet posted by Gakpo's club, PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch side has revealed to the world that the World Cup sensation with the Netherlands will now be playing for the Reds, where he will join an all-star cast featuring Mohamed Salah, Darwin Núñez, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota, to name a few.

Terms of the deal, according to Fabrizio Romano, have seen the English side striking a transfer for $42M, with $14M more to be paid if the player meets some clauses include in the contract.

Gakpo was PSV's brightest star, finding the back of the net 13 times across all competitions, while also handing out 17 assists. He was also able to replicate his form with the national team, where he led Van Gaal's team to the Quarterfinals. The Dutch side would eventually be eliminated by Argentina in a controversial penalty shootout.
