With almost no playing time for the footballer at Chelsea, the leader of the surprise team in the World Cup is ready to think about his future

The fate of some of the best players in the FIFA World Cup will be the matter of close attention in coming weeks, and one of those players that will have to determine their future is none other than Hakim Ziyech.

The player from Morocco has not been enjoying the best of times at Chelsea, with coach Graham Potter not giving him enough playing time to showcase his abilities. With that in mind, the footballer has been tempted by three teams after his impressive display in the World Cup, but the winger is still to let the world know about his decision.

The first team that has shown interest in his services is AC Milan, who will be playing their first match in a UEFA Champions League KO Stage in quite a while. In fact, the rossoneri pushed hard to hire the footballer in the summer, but both parties never got close to agreeing a move. Now, with Ziyech desperate to keep showing his skills, maybe Milan will be able to offer the player something he really likes.

The second team trying to lure Ziyech away from Stamford Bridge is Newcastle, who have dazzled the world with a third-place finish before the World Cup break, and see Ziyech as one of the key pieces of Eddie Howe's puzzle. This move would keep Ziyech in England, which could be attractive enough for the player even if Newcastle are yet to win a title since 1927.

The third option for Ziyech would see him returning to where he became one of football's icons: Ajax. The Dutch side has struggled to replace some of the players that left this season, and Ziyech's arrival would help them in their quest to win the Eredivisie and go as far as possible in the UEFA Europa League. Nonetheless, this move could be seen as a step backwards for the player, but Ziyech would be keen on going back to Amsterdam Arena.

Now, the main issue for these three teams will be Chelsea's intentions. If they keep the idea of letting the player leave, then it would be wise to cut their losses and part ways. Nevertheless, this team has never been known for being a charitable soul, which means that Ziyech's future could be part of a winter transfer saga.
