It is well known that Zinedine Zidane is keen on coaching the French National Team, and one of his former pupils has come up to say when this could happen.

One of the most talented coaches in the world is, without a doubt, Zinedine Zidane. The former midfielder and star for Les Bleus and Real Madrid has turned down some hefty offers to wait for a gig that satisfies him completely, and that gig is none other than the job at the French national team.

With the team's loss to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final, it is safe to say that Didier Deschamps could be in line to extend his deal, but others such as Toni Kroos, believe that his former boss will be appointed as coach in the next few weeks.

Speaking to MagentaTV in his pundit role, Kroos revealed that there woud be no one better to lead this team to glory than Zidane himself.

"Without a doubt, Zizou wouldn't be just a good successor, he would be the best possible successor. Now, the big question is: what does Deschamps want? Let's just say that there's a 70-30 possibility to see Zizou becoming the new national team coach," Kroos stated.

Other sources claim that Deschamps will sign a new deal that will take him to coach the FIFA World Cup in 2026, and even if it's the case, Kroos believes that Zidane will not take long to take another managerial duty if the job with Les Bleus is unavailable.

"In general lines, I believe that Zizou is ready to coach again and is feeling a huge desire to be in the dugout one more time," Kroos concluded.
