The German footballer worked as a pundit for a TV station from his country during the World Cup, and he had some interesting thoughts to share about 'La Pulga'.

The world of football has gone all out in praises for Lionel Messi, who won his first World Cup title with Argentina this past Sunday. And since there is nothing better than showing class when you win -or lose-, one of Real Madrid's main men shared some kind words for Messi after his moment of glory.

The man in question is none other than Toni Kroos, who did not hold back when he was asked about how big the accomplishment was for Messi's career, especially due to his age.

"He deserves it. As far as individual performances go, I have never seen a football player with such consistency like the one shown by this guy," Kroos stated in his role as a pundit for MagentaTV.

The footballer jokingly urged people to acknowledge how hard it was for him to express these words, especially since both players have always been on opposing sides.

"I hope you can appreciate my words. Please consider that he has never played for teams which I'm too fond of, so this must mean that I'm serious about what I'm saying," Kroos added.
