Brazil dominate the list with three nominations from two different goalscorers while Kylian Mbappe, Enzo Fernandez, and Salem Al-Dawsari also making the cut.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup, arguably one of the greatest editions in the tournament's history, has come to an end. Lionel Messi's Argentina were crowned champions, beating France on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw, with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner receiving the Golden Ball after his historic campaign.

But that wasn't the only award up for grabs. Kylian Mbappe lifted the Golden Shoe after finishing as the top scorer (8) while Emiliano Martinez and Enzo Fernandez received the Goalkeeper and Young Player of the Tournament prizes, respectively.

And now the focus has shifted to the Goal of the Tournament accolade. With the dust having just settled from Qatar 2022, FIFA have announced the nominees for the aforementioned category, and to no one's surprise, Brazil dominate the list.

A total of 10 goals have been selected, six of which came in the group stage. The Selecao have three nominations from two different goal scorers on this list, with Richarlison featuring twice — once for his acrobatic effort vs. Serbia and once for the brilliant team goal vs. South Korea in the round of 16.

Neymar is Brazil's other representative, with the PSG sensation's lovely solo effort vs. Croatia in the quarterfinals getting a nod. The seven other nominations were split by seven different countries, one of them being France, with Kylian Mbappe's mesmerizing strike past Wojciech Szczesny in the 3-1 victory over Poland featuring.

And that's not all. Salem Al-Dawsari's historic winning goal for Saudi Arabia against Argentina in the group stage has gotten recognition. Enzo Fernandez, the Young Player of the Tournament, was also nominated for his exquisite strike in the 2-0 triumph over Mexico while El Tri midfielder Luis Chavez also made the cut thanks to his unstoppable shot past the Saudis in their final group-stage tie.
