Real Madrid destroyed Osasuna 7-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema were on target for Los Blancos.
On Saturday night, Levante lost 2-0 to Valencia—meaning that Real Madrid’s lead at the top of La Liga standings remained untouched ahead of the Osasuna match.

The Spanish giants were poised to clinch their 10th consecutive victory in all competitions. They indeed made this happen thanks to a goal fest at the Bernabeu.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock midway through the first period thanks to an assist from Angel di Maria. But Real Madrid didn’t hold on to this goal for long as Osasuna’s Ibrahima made good use of his unmarked position to deceive Casillas.

However, the visitors were wrong to think about running away with something in their bag. The goal flood commenced with defender Pepe making it 2-1 after 34 minutes. Di Maria produced his third consecutive assist a few minutes later when Gonzalo Higuain scored a stunning goal from 15 yards.

The unstoppable Castellans punished Osasuna further in the second half as Satrustegui got sent off. Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake from the penalty spot in the 55th minute and completed his hat-trick 3 minutes later with a header. This was Ronaldo’s 12th Real Madrid hat-trick.

Karim Benzema added two goals to round up Real Madrid’s 7-1 hammering of Osasuna.
