Earlier it was reported that the Arsenal defender had left the England camp for personal reasons.

On Saturday, England will hope to continue their World Cup journey, but first, the Three Lions will need to find a way past reigning champions France.

Gareth Southgate's side come into this match having cruised to a 3-0 win over Senegal, and have been largely flawless so far in Qatar. However, despite the successes on the pitch, it appears that not all is well in the England camp.

Earlier, it was reported that defender Ben White had departed the squad for "personal reasons". Some speculated that it could be due to a family emergency, while others wondered if it could be for some kind of illness.

However, new reports claim that White, who plays his club football for Arsenal, left the squad due to an internal squabble with Southgate's coaching squad.

Apparently, the 25-year-old doesn't like to watch football, which is quite curious considering his choice of profession. This apathy towards the sport put him on a collision course with Southgate's assistant Steve Holland, who was allegedly furious that the player showed up to a team meeting without having done his homework. Some of the tasks required research into their upcoming opponents, which at that time, was the USMNT, as well as being able to provide information on his own personal stats.

In addition, White apparently struggled to fit in with the squad and failed to click with most of his teammates. Team unity is something that Southgate has sought to achieve in order to get the best out of his players, and hence, it appears that White, despite his talents, was not making positive progress off the pitch.

England have already looked to put this firmly behind them as they are totally focused on their titanic showdown against France this weekend.
