Zlatan picks favorite team to win the World Cup

Zlatan picks his favorite team to win the World Cup ahead of the Quarterfinals

December 8, 2022 By Oscar Rojas
The Swedish ace has numerous teammates involved in the race to win it all, but he has chosen one a different path in this prediction.

One of the most popular players in the world is, without a doubt, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. While he had shared some views on some of the World Cup's main topics of discussion, he had not disclosed which team he wanted to see lifting the title on December 18...until now.

The Swedish ace spoke to media outlett 433, where he named the team he would like to see crowned as world champions. While some might have believed that he woul choose Portugal or France due to his close relationship with Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, the "Lion" chose one of his former teammates as the winner of the tournament being held in Qatar.

"I hope Argentina can win the World Cup, I want to see that because of Messi," Zlatan stated.

The player's words have been categorized as shocking by some media outlets, mainly because he had stated he would love to see Olivier Giroud claiming the Golden Boot for the top scorer, something that usually involves playing as many games as possible.

Messi and Argentina will be in for a tough test on Friday when they lock horns against the Netherlands. Keep track of that game by following the link you will find below these lines.
