There has been a lot of talk about an alleged attempt to leave the team by Cristiano Ronaldo, which even forced a statement from the Portuguese Football Federation denying such reports.
Now, the player himself has taken the case to social media, adding fuel to the fire and stating that there are those in Portugal who are trying to destabilize the team prior to their match against Morocco.
In his Instagram post, Ronaldo has revealed the union within the team and how all members of the squad are working with the same goal in mind, meaning that he never tried to leave them and that such reports come from people who don't want to see their compatriots succeed.
Here's Cristiano Ronaldo's Instagram post to clarify all recent reports.
"We are tight group that can't be broken by external forces. We represent a nation that is too brave to be intimidated by any rival. We are a team in the true essence of the word that will fight for its dream until the end! Take a leap of faith with us! Come on, Portugal!
