The Bayern München ace found the back of the net with what became the fastest goal in the competition after one week of action.

Four games and quite a few chances went by, but Canada have finally broken their historic deadlock in World Cup games thanks to Alphonso Davies' efforts.

The talented footballer made ammends for his penalty kick miss during the match against Belgium on Wednesday and quickly gave Canada the lead against Croatia, one of the teams that is seen by many as a title contender.

Davies did not waste any time in scoring the first goal of the game, as he only needed 69 seconds to score with a well placed header. With this goal, Davies will go down in history as the first man to score for Canada in the quadrennial competition.
