The Welsh ace stepped up one more time for his national team to rescue a well-deserved point against a USMNT squad that seemed to run out of gas.

It was a match the entire country was waiting for, and Gareth Bale did not disappoint when it came to showing up when the Dragons needed his contribution.

The footballer was once again instrumental to Wales' draw against the USMNT, who failed to keep a one-goal lead and committed an avoidable foul against Bale during the final minutes of regulation. As you would expect, Bale took the ball and drilled it past Matt Turner with a lightning-like shot from the spot.

With that goal, Bale managed to join not one, but two lists of goalscorers that will go down in history for their accomplishments. The first one, or course, has to do with the Welsh National Team, where he became the third Welsh player to score a goal in a FIFA World Cup, following John Charles and John Allchurch, who accomplished that feat in 1958.

The other list has to do with Bale's involvement with an MLS club.

Now, the Welsh side will have to make the most out of their meeting with Iran, a team they really need to beat if they want to keep their options to play the next round intact.
