Club soccer has been put on hold as the entire globe shifts focus to the highly-anticipated tournament in Qatar. The event kicks off on November 20 with the host nation's showdown with Ecuador and will continue up until the December 18 final at the Lusail Stadium.
Some of the biggest names in the game will head to the Middle East as the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Neymar, and Manuel Neuer look to guide their national teams to glory.
While the difference in time zone might be an inconvenience for many, fans in the USA can catch the action live, with the Fox Sports' channels airing all 64 matches, Telemundo Deportes and Universo covering Spanish-language broadcast, and fuboTV streaming the fixtures live in HD.
But what are the key dates and kick-off times for the upcoming tournament? Here is a breakdown of the 2022 FIFA World Cup schedule for the USA.
What time will the 2022 FIFA World Cup group stages begin in the USA?
As mentioned earlier, the 2022 FIFA World Cup group stage matches will begin on November 20th and will end on December 2nd. Hosts Qatar take on Ecuador in the opening match, with this tie kicking off at 11 a.m. ET (10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT/8 a.m. PT).
From November 21st to December 2nd, kick-off times will vary. The first two matchdays will see games held in four different slots: at 5 a.m. ET (4 a.m. CT/3 a.m. MT/2 a.m. PT), 8 a.m. ET (7 a.m. CT/6 a.m. MT/5 a.m. PT), 11 a.m. ET (10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT/8 a.m. PT), and 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT/12 p.m. MT/11 a.m. PT).
