Liverpool will look to extend their strong run against Leeds United as the Reds aim to recover after a shock loss to Nottingham Forest last round.

After an embarrassing loss to relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest last time out, the pressure is arguably on Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp as they prepare to take on another struggling side this weekend. Although the Reds did make amends by cruising to a comfortable 3-0 road win over Ajax and thus booked their spot in the Champions League round of 16, all eyes will be on Klopp's squad to see if they can translate that midweek win into three points at Anfield against Leeds United.

To date, Liverpool have not lost to their upcoming opponents in over 20 years, and moreover, are on a 29 match unbeaten record at home in the Premier League. Despite still having some players out injured, the Reds are expected to pick up a win over a Leeds side who are not only dealing with a growing injury list, but appear to have lost some of the verve they once had under manager Jesse Marsch.

Indeed, the visitors, who come into this match having lost 3-2 to Fulham, are in dire straits. Fans have started to express their disapproval of the American tactician, who came in following Marcelo Bielsa's dismissal, and who, if reports are to be believed, could be very well out of a job if he can not help steer Leeds back to safety. The odds do not look good for Leeds, who are not only winless in their last eight league games, but as noted before, have not beaten Liverpool since April 2001.

All in all, barring a shocking meltdown on the part of the Reds, this match's story already appears to be written and it does indeed look like yet another Premier League manager could be receiving his marching orders before the World Cup kicks off next month.
